Stuck in some quicksand! Ohhhh Nooo!
We went to the beach for a couple of hours with our buddies on this 100+ degree first day of October. I checked the tide chart and it was going to be just about low tide while we were there. I thought we could catch up on some tidepooling since we had poor timing last week. We saw lots of anemones and some shy crabs scurrying about, but no sea stars this time. We had a nice time with our friends, but it was just too quick. I was squeezing it into a narrow time slot between piano lessons and soccer practice. I just wanted to sink into the warm sand and relax, not rush to the next activity....I'm feeling very overscheduled lately. But, I am grateful for even snippets of time with good friends in beautiful surroundings enjoying nature!
