Falling Leaf Cookies

It cooled down enough to turn the oven on today! We've been dying to try out all the natural food coloring and assorted decorating sugars I recently ordered from The Squirrels Nest.
The sugars are really nice. The orange was a bit sticky for some reason, but the yellow was just perfect. The food coloring box smells really weird, but the color itself is fine. Don't expect strong, vibrant hues with natural dyes. The orange I made mixed up to be a soft peach. The chocolate sprinkles are from Let's Do Organic which is a company I buy a lot of things from and they never fail to please.
The recipe I used is from my sis in law Julie and makes a beautiful dough! It's very quick and easy and you don't have to chill the dough. I used white whole wheat from King Arthur's Flour because it's all I had, and except for the tan color, I don't think there was a difference.

Von's by the Halloween stuff! It's hard to explain, but it has 4 cutters on one side and 4 on the other. One side is Halloween, the other Thanksgiving. It was a little tricky to use. It sort of looks like a candy mold rather than cookie cutter.

Those cookies are so pretty! My kids love doing things like that! I have lost my desire to bake now that I am GF............isn't that rude to do to my family???
