Sea World

I am embarrassed to say that it has been 8 years since we have been to Sea World!! I used to go every year for my birthday when I was a little girl and I have always loved Sea World. I don't know why we haven't gone in so long! We fed the Sea Lions, but should have saved the $6 and fed the Bat Rays or dolphins instead. You can't touch the Sea Lions when you feed them, you just drop it down to them.

The shark encounter was cool in a creepy way.

The penguins were a big hit. It was fun to watch them waddle around and do there penguin march.

We really enjoyed learning about and watching the manatees. They are so graceful for such huge creatures. The romaine lettuce you see was floating everywhere as they were just eating breakfast when we came by to visit.

The Bat Rays were the favorite of the day. They are just like puppies the way they come up to you. The boys especially liked to pet them.

The dolphins are tricky creatures! Usually they swim by just out of reach unless you have food for them. L-12 was the lucky one that got to touch one. It bit her finger a little, but it didn't hurt too bad.
It was a beautiful sparkly day at Sea World! Because we were there on an educational ticket (just 5.75 each!) we didn't go to the big shows. We did see the orcas doing a dining show, though. We were watching from the underwater view tank and it was a totally different experience! I would recommend checking that out sometime. It was soothing and relaxing to watch the whales dive down and do flips in complete silence. It was a great day!
