My friend Angela is an incredible artist and art teacher in our homeschooling community. Last year L-13 and C-11 took a drawing class with her and they had a fabulous experience! Yesterday we and other art enthusiasts met at the park to be inspired and work on these small masterpieces. Sometime in the future we will all meet and trade the cards we have been working on.
Here are the basics:
Art Trading Cards are the same size as a trading card: 2 ½ X 3 ½ in.
Traded but never sold
Flat enough to fit in a plastic trading card sleeve
Signed by the artist and dated on the back of the card
Produced as individual works of art
Made from any medium or combination of mediums
Here is what you need:
magazines, wrapping paper, old maps, or other interesting papers for collage, colored or black markers, cheap watercolors, cardstock, decorative items for gluing such as lace, small beads, yarn, sequins, etc., scissors, paintbrushes, q-tips, for 'green' cards- light weight cardboard to recycle such as cereal or cake mix boxes.
