Baptism Day

Today M-8 entered into the waters of baptism! She was so very excited. We had a nice program with family and many friends and church family supporting her. Since she has a February birthday, she is the first in her class to turn 8 and be baptised. It was fun to have her whole class come out for the service. Her sweet, dear CTR 8 teacher gave a talk on the Holy Spirit that touched everyone in attendance. Grandma Hawley gave a great talk with lots of stories of her own baptism that will be a treasure to all of the family since she is giving us a copy for our family history. Grandpa John confirmed her a member of the church of Jesus Christ and gave her a blessing and the gift of the Holy Ghost. Grandma Natalie led us all in song and gave a sweet closing prayer. I felt Grandpa Ken was there with us.
I'm so thankful for the opportunity to teach my children the gospel of Jesus Christ and for the blessings of the atonement!

Hi! Yes you are welcome to use my blog post! And also I wanted to let you know that right now I don't have a "picture a day" blog but I might post all of my pictures on maybe flicker or something. Congrats on your daughters baptism!
