Ice Camping

Last week-end Dad took the boys on a scout snow camp out at Lake Cuyamaca. It was pretty cold dipping below freezing in the night. Unfortunately, there wasn't any snow to sled on, just ice and slush and it was at a campground that did not permit campfires. Brrrr!! C-12 said it was the worst experience of his life and he was never doing it again. P-10 said it was pretty bad, but he was just thrilled to be with the big scouts.

Awesome photos! Such a beautiful place. :)

No campfires? Yikes! I love to camp when it's cold...but ONLY if there is a nice, roaring fire to keep things toasty and warm. Oh, and a handsome, rugged snuggle partner makes it quite nice as well. :D
