Candlemas

In Victorian times it was traditional for women to inventory the candle supply to make sure there would be enough for the rest of the winter on Candlemas. Today our friends came over for a little play and math tutoring and M-7 and our dear friend Katie made this mosaic luminary. M-7 is really enjoying spending time with Katie as she is a wealth of creativity and excitement. After they did the craft they went on a little bike ride: M-7 on her bike and Katie on her unicycle. I'll have to get a picture of that sometime! Katie will be going off to college in the fall and we will miss her!
