Daybook Moment

Today I am Noticing God's Glory:

Listening to: birds, birds birds, twittering, chattering, pipping and singing.  Even cock a doodle doodleing.  There are birds all a flutter as they do their spring time thing.  There is a little pair of finches setting up housekeeping just outside my bedroom deck door.  Brave souls for building a nest right over the dog door.

Giving thanks for:  Talking with my children about these books: M-10 has just gobbled up the Little House books, filing in the books she skipped last year. She has been full of "old sayings" ever since.

Pondering prayerfully:  Lots of decisions for the new school year.  April is a busy month for the board in our commonwealth school and it is good to rely on the Lord and listen for his direction in specific things. Lots of other things I'm pondering prayerfully, but this one has a deadline.

Learning lessons in:  I am focusing my studies in three areas right now.  I usually study things in binges, immersing myself in one topic or interest until I am filled up and ready to move on. I'm trying for more balance. On my learning plate I have:  Constitution studies by Hillsdale College, Scripture study with BYU roundtable discussion, and classics on my Kindle.

Loving the moments:  P-12 gave a great talk in church yesterday-his first sacrament talk outside of primary- and I loved watching him.

Planning for the week ahead:  Shopping for hippy clothes for the upcoming Shakespeare play.
