The Simple Woman's Daybook~

Outside my window~
is sunny with a bit of marine layer. I hear the neighbor's guard geese honking a warning at something and roosters socializing with one another from one coop to the next. There are construction sounds in the distance.

Inside my house~
is quiet. Quiet dogs, quiet cats, quiet kids.

I am Feeling~
just a little bit sick again. I was not feeling well at all last week for a couple of days and thought I kicked it with copious amounts of Emergen-C and Boiron's Oscillococcinum. Touch of a sore throat and congestion has returned, so I will start the treatment again. No time for sick.

I am Excited~
for the old house to be cleaned out and ready for renters. What a long, drawn out affair moving became. Now I can whole heartedly concentrate on this nest and feather it properly.

I am Pondering~
Oh my. Lots of stuff.

I am Thankful~
for 9 year old girls who enjoy cleaning kitchens, 15 year old girls that enjoy baking cookies, 12 year old boys that enjoy keeping count of how many times we tell each other "I love you" a day, and 14 year old boys that enjoy holding doors open for others. And a husband that enjoys being married to me and tells me so.

I am~
needing to create a menu to feed my family. I have some kind of weird mental block when it comes to dinner. It's a serious problem.

A Picture Thought I am Sharing~

"And now for something you'll really like"~

Introducing Rocket J. Squirrel
(The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show has become an obsession in this house.)

P.s. Funny how things can change in a matter of minutes. Shortly after completing this post, L-15 blacked out in the bathroom (with the door locked). She was able to call for me and after a frantic few seconds of me calling through the door, she was able to unlock it before she lost consciousness. I was able to catch her before she hit her head on the tub, but she did bang her back up pretty good. Called 911. Nice paramedics came and took her vitals and all was fine. Daddy is taking her to the doctor right now while I try to have a normal morning with the other kids and do school. I'm filled up on excitement, thanks.
