Yep, October is fire season. This one was put out in a couple of days, thank goodness. The pool is almost done. We thought it would be done this week, but not yet.

I went a little pumpkin crazy~
Pumpkins and gourds galore~
Boo!
I tried to get a little creative with the vase. A gourd, indian corn, turkey feathers (thanks, Fred) and some dried leaves.
I am in love with these heirloom pumpkins! They were a good deal at Wal-Mart at half the price than the grocery store. My plan is to save the seeds and plant them next year. Maybe I'll have my own pumpkin stand by then.

Great holiday decorations. Additionally, it looks like you have connected with your inner gourd. Of course there is the quote from Ken Palmer, "Are you are out of you gourd." Never quite understood that. I can see being out of the pumpkin patch. Only because I quite never find myself in one . . .
I love all of your pumpkins!
I have a grudge against October. Thanks for reminding me of its beautiful side. Love the quote from Anne too.
Melanie, I know what you mean. We have had sad things happen in October, as well. This is the third year in a row that she has been so sick and in need of blood transfusion or hospital stay at this time of year. I don't want my love of fall/October to be tainted so I purposely look for the beauty of the season.
Duh, she is obviously McKenna but I thought I wrote that. :)
