Both of my boys went to their very first Boy Scout sleep over camp last week. They have gone on over nights, mostly with their Dad going with them, for a little while, but going for 5 days was a new thing for all of us!They did a great job and came home tired, dirty and full of new skills. C-13 had lots of leadership opportunities as he is his troop's senior patrol leader.
The big news was our troop won Top Troop for the week! Our patrol stood out from 20 other troops and 270 boys for earning the most merit badges, activity participation, friendliest, most enthusiastic, and best prepared for pre-requisites. Our scoutmaster was ecstatic! It was the first time in nine years that he has been scoutmaster that we even came close. Yay! C-13 received the award for his troop and was very proud!
