P-8 is always asking to make things in the kitchen. When he was a toddler he used to help me make pancakes all the time and I guess it stuck. Today he asked if he could make cookies "all by himself". He picked the recipe, got all of the ingredients out and set to work. We had a nice discussion on measurements and how to pack brown sugar. The recipe said it would make 60 cookies. P decided that 16 monster sized cookies would be much better. Yum!
