Christmas 2013

 Scenes from Christmas 2013~

We have had this train for longer than we have had children.  We like to set it up around the tree, but this year it had a large track in front of the wood stove in the family room.

This year we had three trees!  Our family room tree had our most loved family ornaments with Muffy Vanderbear angel on top.

Our kitchen tree had homemade cranberry and popcorn garland that M-11 and I strung.  This tree held our Five in a Row ornament exchange ornaments.  We have swapped ornaments with other homeschoolers who use Five in a Row curriculum for over ten years.

 Our "nativity table"~

This Fisher Price nativity has been loved for years.  No wee little ones to play with it anymore, but we made it the dining room centerpiece for most of the season~

 Dining room ribbons~

The living room tree had a snowflake theme thanks to the Dollar Tree~

L-18 needle felted the snowman. So cute!

 The snowman was my mom's~

Lots of Christmas books are a joy~

This year we had some sore throats and colds.  Not too bad, but it did keep us home from some activities.  Today is really the 8th Day of Christmas in my heart, so I will enjoy my decorations for a few more days.  Most years I am anxious to get everything cleaned up and packed away, but this year I just want to linger.
