Simple Woman's Daybook~

Outside my window~
is foggy again! Everyday it has been pea soup thick.

Inside my house~
was utter chaos 5 minutes ago. I just finished my breakfast (two scrambled eggs with salsa) and was walking back to my bedroom with the intent of starting this daybook. Just as I picked up my laptop, the cat walked through the french door with a rather large vole in his mouth. I chased him all through the house, opening the front door and garage door trying to herd him and his prize out of my house. He went into the boys room under their bed and that's when I started screeching. The squeaking of that poor critter was too much for me! We got him out with the help of two dogs and a swiffer, where he went to the laundry room and dropped the thing in his food bowl. He finally went into the garage with it. Ugh! I need to teach him NOT to bring things into the house!

I am Feeling~
tired after that adrenaline wore off. Today is the first day of early morning seminary for L-15, so we were up and out of the house at 5:50am.

I am Excited~
to get back into a school time rhythm. Today I am going to fill the hearth book basket for the first time in our new home with all of the books I want to go through for Fall.

I am Pondering~
my new church calling of Emergency Preparedness Specialist and what direction I want to take. I think some bread baking and gardening classes would be fun.

I am Going~
to conquer my bedroom and bathroom today! Really! Boxes and piles, be gone!

I am~
Praying.

1. Ere you left your room this morning,
Did you think to pray?
In the name of Christ, our Savior,
Did you sue for loving favor
As a shield today?

[Chorus]
Oh, how praying rests the weary!
Prayer will change the night to day.
So, when life gets dark and dreary,
Don’t forget to pray.

2. When your heart was filled with anger,
Did you think to pray?
Did you plead for grace, my brother,
That you might forgive another
Who had crossed your way?

3. When sore trials came upon you,
Did you think to pray?
When your soul was full of sorrow,
Balm of Gilead did you borrow
At the gates of day?

A Picture Thought I am Sharing~

The yellow and blue pac man looking wreath is the Teamster's symbol. I had to ask.
