Happy Birthday C-12!

C had a special request for his birthday. He wanted a surprise party. I guess he didn't care that it wouldn't really be a "surprise" party if he asks for it, but no problem! On the day of his birthday we went over to our friend's house for our usual play date while my friend did a math lesson with L-13. (It's nice to have a homeschool buddy that was a math major! She is taking over the upper level math for me! Woo hoo!) While the kids were outside we put some candles on some brownies and shouted Happy Birthday to c-12 when he walked in. Surprise!! The Real surprise party was yet to come, though...

Four days later, a group of boys gathered outside of our house. On the go signal they went to to the door and shouted Surprise!! C-12 claimed he saw them through the window and knew something was up, but I prefer to think he was surprised!

The boys had pizza, chips and soda and watched the new Bionicle dvd. It was good boy fun and the party was a success. I hope C-12 felt loved and special because he certainly is!
