This week M-7 and I have been doing a little bit of Five in a Row. We did some pointillism painting with Q-tips and markers and tried some mussels on crackers. It was hard to get past how they looked! M-7 was the bravest among us! We *might* buy some fresh mussels to steam rather than the canned variety.

Oh, I love that book! Even though my kids are older, I want to bring out some of our FIAR books for inspiration for art and other projects. This would be a great way to start. I don't think you're ever too old for a great picture book!

That book looks fun! And I love the description of your homeschooling as delight driven. It doesn't get any better than that. :-)
