Another Celebrated Dancing Bear

*Social Studies~ Read the book and discussed Russia. Found it on the globe and discussed cities in Russia. We found Moscow and discussed capitol cities. We noticed that a countries capitol is marked by a star in a circle, so we found other capitols, as well. We looked at lots of library books on Russia and looked at the architecture and noticed samovars. We looked at our tablecloth from Russia that Grandma and Grandpa brought back to us. Discussed Russian clothing and dancing and looked at a lot of Patricia Polacco books.
*Art Appreciation~ Discussed Tchaikovsky and listened to the Nutcracker.
