Halloween Traditions

Halloween 2007

2006
2005
For more years than these pictures show we have been having a Halloween get together at our house with our buds. Nothing extravagent, but I do always try to make my crockpot carmel dip and apple slices. After the trick or treating ends, the real fun begins with a major trading session of the favorite goodies.
This year in our family we had a combination of very low tech costumes and one very time intensive costume. C-10 was an Alien Commander. His creation was a Lego "crown" of sorts with pipecleaner attenae. A silk cape completed the look. It looked really cool for so little effort! P-8 was an escaped burgaler (with handcuffs dangling from one arm) but the adults laughingly called him a California Wildfire Looter. M-5 was a flower fairy with an off the rack costume. L-11 was an elf from The Lord of the Rings. We bought the fabric and many, many hours later, a costume emerged. It was a great for her to learn some more sewing skills!
Happy Halloween!
