On the Banks of Plum Creek~ Walnut Grove, Minn.

This cabin showed the things a trader would have in his little cabin. We expected Mr. Edwards to walk in any minute!

We went to this great place where a man built sod houses on his land. Just to preserve the history of the area. He was super nice and just let us roam around. You could stay the night in one of the houses, but we didn't.

On the prairie.

The real Plum Creek where the Ingall's lived in the sod house. L was determined to stick her finger in. It was absolutely freezing and it started to rain a bone chilling, freezing, sleety rain. We RAN back to the car as fast as we could!
Walnut Grove is a quaint little town. They have a Laura Ingalls festival every year at this spot.
