We started our new read aloud with an old time favorite. It's been a few years since we read Little House on the Prairie and little M has never heard it. We all remembered why we love it so much and even devoted an entire vacation to seeing the Laura Ingalls Wilder sites in Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota. (Family Field Trip 2001) The kids made scenes from the book out of Lincoln Logs and a covered wagon craft I bought at Michaels for $1.00. Once again it is all things pioneer in our household and I couldn't be happier.
